Marvin Marvin Review

Seriously, what is Nickelodeon thinking?

Geared towards teens and tweens, I watched this new episode with my children. No one was impressed to say the least.

Marvin (played by Lucas Cruikshank) is an alien who can transform himself into a human boy. He resides on Earth with a human family. He has ears in his butt, his finger glows and can heat/cool things. He can't stop himself from dancing any time he hears music.

Lucas Cruikshank is the boy who played in "Fred" the movie and has played/appeared in other movies and sitcoms.

Although he may not have the high pitched squealing voice in "Marvin Marvin" as he has had in all the other sitcoms he has played in, I still can't make myself like him as an actor.

If this sitcom ever makes it to season two or beyond, it will surprise me.

It's BEYOND stupid. I cant stand Lucas or the show. It should never have aired, but since it is part of Nickelodeon's line-up, they need to do the right thing and remove it...with a quickness.

O my gosh!! This show is horrible!! To start off, I'm a teen that started watching it and its not even close to being funny. Its about this teen that's an alien that lives with a normal living family... this has got to be a joke, really nick, really???? In my opinion, they are literally throwing money away... please don't watch!!

AAAHHHH!!! The WORST SHOW EVER!!!
...I hope they dont force this show on us..it's not fair. Can't the network see how HORRIBLE it is?

Evidently they don't realize it. Maybe they will open their eyes before the network loses too many viewers. My kids have been watching more Disney than Nickelodeon now days.

I agree. I watched about 5 minutes or so, and when I saw him cough up the cereal, I was like: "Huh?" then when milk came squirting out of his mouth, I was like: "Are you serious?" (Sad to say they were) and to top it off, he coughed up a strawberry. Disney's no better either since a lot of it is childish (Although Nick is along the same path) What Nickelodeon needs to do is be more original and simply get new writers. I like Dan Schnider's work, but let others come in too. However, if he worked on this show, it might be more tolerable.

What the station needs to stop doing is having shows where they sing. One solid show like that is fine, but having three or more is well...too much. I just hope Nickelodeon knows what they're doing by adding Sam&Cat and Gibby to their line up...

iCarly: Fun and humorous (although it could get violent and too "boobys")It was time for it to end, since it's been for a while.
Victorious: Wasn't bad. But the story lines for some of the episodes drew away from the plot. Not a big fan, but if the station and not Dan Schneider wants the show to end, then what does that tell you? Also the girls dressed inappropriately. Dan Schnider can be very perverted at times...
How to Rock: Not funny. The main star wasn't funny at all, and the "stupid blonde" stereotype was too played out.
Supah Ninjas: I'm honestly surprised it's still on...
Big Time Rush: Love them! Their show was big for me at the beginning, but after the movie (a disappointment) and recent season, I'm done.
House of Anubis: Haven't seen it, but it might have some potential if they worked a little on the acting.
Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures: There was nothing epic about that show.
True Jackson V.P.:Felt like an un-psychic version of the final seasons of That's so Raven. Plus Keke's character was too loud, and made African American females seem ghetto.
Naked Brother's Band: I couldn't tell if that was a reality show or not...

I just hope Nickedlodeon really puts effort into upcoming shows and becomes more original and just learn that kids aren't in to the "obvious comedy," "awkward body movements/functions," and the cliched.

What they should do is ask people our age what we like, instead of just relying it on adults. They have some good insight, don't get me wrong, but seriously, kids know what kids like.

Thank you for your input. I agree with you completely. They do need new writers, and they should get more opinions (do more surveys, etc)
